The Series:
There are ten caches in this series. Each cache contains
one-tenth of a $10,000 bill with a number on it. When you visit
each cache, note the location of the bill segment and the number on
the bill. Use these ten numbers to find the final cache!
A bit of history: Lee's 3000th cache!
I was still a few weeks away from my first face-to-face meeting
with TeamAlamo (then vdbalamo), but Lee was already busy helping
organize the first BADGES event on January 24, 2004 - which
would be find #3000 for him. Though we hadn't met yet, we'd already
had our share of interactions and exchanges, both publicly via
cache logs and private email exchanges. In February, I would meet
up with Mr. VDB, Fisherwoman, and WalruZ for a cache here in
Martinez, and the rest, as they say, is history. We've since
had many an outing together, both day and night - and here's
looking forward to many more.
Team Alamo has continued to organize events - and play
matchmaker, even if indirectly. BuckyDef and WalruZ met at a BADGES
event, and look where that led!
Thanks, my friend!
Per my standard modus operandi, I hid this cacher's cache at night.
It is well stocked with supplies that should prove useful on the
trail, including: compasses, hand warmers, emergency poncho, poison
oak protection, sun screen, insect repellant, lanyard, mini
maglight, and even a ready-to-deploy MartianRabbit micro cache.
Oh yeah - and a cache camera - please take a photo of yourself, and
note the number of exposures remaining. Also a White Jeep TB, as a
little incentive. Come and get it!
