I set out this travelbug hotel as the launching point for the
"Just for the Heck of it Travelbug Race ver. 2" A group of cachers
from Western New York sent me back with the racers after a recent
visit there. The rules of the race are simple - to rack up as many
miles as possible before the race deadline - March 25, 2007. Other
than that, there are no rules, so be sure to let those New Yorkers
know you're open to bribes.
Why a gold ammo can you might be asking? Well, it was a gift to
me from my friends in New York when I reached 1000 finds. It seemed
appropriate to use that cache to launch their travelbugs.
Please be sure to grab a bug or two or ten when you visit the
cache so they don't end up sitting here all winter. These bugs need
to move!
The cache is located very near where PolarBearDiggers recently
archived Geko Guesser 2 cache (GCPETG) was. I should thank him for
clearing up this spot for me as it makes a perfect location for a
travelbug hotel along the Trans-Canada highway.
Be sure to stop at this one, whether you are on your way into
Winnipeg, or heading East to the great land of snow and rock called
Northern Ontario. For those of you that haven't driven across
Northern Ontario, it's 80 billion kilometers long. There are 13
people that live there ... all of whom are named Frank - even the
girl! At least that's what the Arrogant Worms say.
While you're here, be sure to stop at N49° 48.107 W096° 53.292
and check out the remains of an old car. According to ml3singers,
this is a Mercury Monarch probably from the 50's.
