45°F foggy with 30 inches of snow. I needed to use the ice axe usually reserved for the Catskill Mountains to obtain access to the cache location. This was my first Rhode Island geocache. It proved quite a high-level terrain geocache as the road into the restaurant had over 18 inches of standing water on it. The parking lot was covered in solid ice. Luckily for me the 20 foot deep beacon led me to the cache location under two feet of heavy snow.
