What a great idea for an event. It was great to meet the person behind the legendary One Degree of Separation cache project, as well as revisit one of the most favorited cache sites in Wisconsin. I don't think I've ever been to a non-mega caching event in Wisconsin before that had almost 200 trackables either.
Being at the Safe House is always an interesting experience. This is maybe my 4th or 5th time here over the last 20 or so years, and it never gets old. First time I've been here with a LARGE group of cachers though. We had a whole room to ourselves and sat at several tables; my table included Dreamcatchr, Ecorangers, AuntieNae, and the CO/host of the event, Snoogans. Traded trackables, met people both familiar and new, had the 1/2 pound "Spyburger," and actually learned alot. I even ended up with a geocoin from Colorado that I once moved along over a year ago. Afterward Snoogans and a bunch of us went over to the Bronze Fonz statue only a block away for the photo challenge, and to get wet in the rain. I didn't see tonight the Covert Cache located somewhere in the building (I've found it twice before); I wonder if everyone who has never found it was able to find it at the event. Time slipped away pretty fast!
Thanks for the cozy fun event on this wet evening!
