I bought a car this week! Now is the time to pay my friends back for all the rides they've given me.
So, I drove out to the east side, picked up my friends, and we drove out to Gov. Nelson to buy a park sticker, take a hike, and get a geocache! (and, it turns out some other friends were taking their newborn for his first hike in this park, but we missed each other by less than an hour!)
This is a lovely park, nice lookouts (though you can't really see Mendota like in the pictures!), and some great Native American mounds (I did an in depth study of mounds for my Anthropology major, so it is always exciting to see new mounds, as well as to the see the efforts at preserving them!).
