I just beat the rain, and the little rapids in the drainage stream sounded cheery even on a cloudy day. Warblers and chickadees followed me along the trail for a while shortly as I passed by wp 1, but today I came to check on the final before yet another stretch of wet weather arrived. Sure enough, though nested in ice, the ammo can and tether were free, and the camo in good shape as well. The contents look almost untouched, though I did add a brand new shiny yellow jeep rescue that I got from Dave. He said every ammo can deserves a jeep.
Looking forward to the coming weeks when trilliums will soon flank the trail on the wooded side, and the marsh marigolds meander along the drainage stream on the wet west side of the trail. Most of the reflectors for the night cache option look good, though I did add a few new ones to further illuminate the tunnel of light. Looking forward to my next trip on a mild spring night. Soon.
