Found it kc9hej found IATCC - Lapham Peak Kettle Pond

Saturday, March 2, 2013Wisconsin

Nice side trail, was on snoeshoes so it wasnt a problem. Pushing my pole down into the i measured about 15" at the edge of "Pond"
Interesting stacks of wood and brush up against the hills, not sure what they are for, maybe to stop erosion? I will look it up when i get home though. Thanks for the adventure!

What a beautiful and quiet location!

infoAn Earthcache is an educational form of a virtual cache. The reward for these caches is learning more about the planet on which we live - its landscapes, its geology or the minerals and fossils that are found there. Many Earthcaches are in National Parks. Some are multi-cache in form, and some have a physical log book located in or close to a Visitor Center. Earthcaches are developed in association with the Geological Society of America.
