Interesting story that we did not know about. We had this part of the park all to ourselves on a dreary fall afternoon, so we spent our time at the plaque, then headed over to look for the final. We had chosen well, and before long, we were in possession of the cache.
We hadn't been in Blue Mound SP in ages, so we took the opportunity to take in some of the views while the fall color was still present. The threat of rain kept us from hiking any of the trails today, but we did some scouting for our next trip this way. Thanks for the cache and for sharing this story with us, j&k&kids!
