It was a great event, even considering the weather. It started out a bit confusing because I wasn't all that clear about where to meet (whoops). Once we got everyone together, things were good for a while. About a dozen people showed up. It started out a bit cloudy and cold... and got worse. After the first hour to hour and a half, it started raining. Shortly after that, our group was diminished to half. The crazy folk continued for a while until we were all soaking and couldn't stand it any more. We had to stop a bit earlier (10:30-ish, if I recall?) than what I was hoping for, had the weather cooperated, but we picked up a LOT of trash. Thanks to everyone who was out there helping - great job! Thanks to Geokitty for handing out ammo cans. Thanks to the NMSU Geography Club for coming out to help. Hopefully they'll be joining the ranks of geocaching soon. I'd also like to thank Keep Las Cruces Beautiful for providing the trashbags, gloves (they were there just in case, but knowing geocachers, weren't really needed), and trash pickup.
