Friday, June 21, 2013Wisconsin

Well I just noticed this cache yesterday and realized that I already had become more than qualified to claim this one, so I added it to today's list of things to do. Unfortunately when I got there I realized that I may not be dressed appropriately judging by what the GPS was telling me. Being a brave soul I decided that I would at least give it a whirl. I wasn't even through the ditch yet when a small pterodactyl looking critter suddenly dive-bombed me, leading a charge of many more pteradacti (plural?). At this point I decided this one could wait as I get over here enough to be able to do it another time. After getting back in the car I grabbed my bird watching guide and learned that the pteradacti were actually the common Wisconsin mosquito! I would have never known they could grow so large. It must be the sand around these parts. :-)

Here are my qualifiers:
City of Adams - City of Adams Pictorial
Town of Adams - Choo Choo Sudoku
Big Flats - Cottonville Fire Cache
Colburn - WSQ Too Close to the Road
Dell Prairie - Bears Don't Bite
Easton - Rattlesnake Ramble
Friendship - The Schools
Jackson - Poor Farm Cemetery
Leola - What a Rock
Lincoln - Lincoln Logs
Monroe - WSQ Abilynn's Girl's Code
New Chester - Grand Marsh and Brooks
New Haven - Hysterical Marker
Preston - Logging a Multi
Quincy - Gulyc's Hideout
Richfield - Cottonville Color
Rome - Devil's Elbow
Springville - The Caboose
Strongs Prairie - The River Bridge

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
