Found it Lacknothing found Virtually Famous? #3

Friday, May 03, 2013Wisconsin

Had a lot of fun solving this puzzle. I put the Hitwoman to work on it also. I was Googling this and that and the other thing and finally figured out who this virtually famous person was and so I texted Steph who immediately did one of these DUH - I knew that! We laughed. So then we had text wars as we both figured out the coordinates for the final - me on the west side of town and she on the east side of town. We were pretty neck in neck and both got the pretty green SUCCESS. Wouldn't you know, she had an errand to run in Oneida today, so I stopped and picked her up. After a quick stop, we made our way to this final. That is when it really started to rain. Steph checked the radar and sure enough, it was all yellow where we were. However, by the time we arrived at GZ, the rain had let up. I pulled very close to GZ and was informed by the Hitwoman that GZ was the other direction. Hmmm - not what my GPS says, but the other day when we were having these same issues, her GPS seemed smarter, so I moved the geomobile today to where she directed. As we got out of the car she said, oops...it's back over there (yes .. where I had originally parked). We laughed. A short walk to GZ and Steph spotted the remains of the deer she had read about. I was looking in one area when she made the find. Nice hide. I thoroughly enjoyed the puzzle though and learned a bit. Never knew the connection and now I do. I need to take a look at the other Virtually Famous Puzzles. Thanks for the fun. A favorite from me on this one!

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
