Decided to give this cache a shot today, since I was in the area. Parked at the Jailhouse tavern and walked out along the snowmobile trail. When I got to the island, I saw that someone else had been there recently. I followed there footprints to "the hole" and saw that they had jumped into the hole, gotten out and then left. Weird. I gave a pretty thorough search of the area, but was unable to locate the cache. Maybe it is under the snow. I'll try again another time ... maybe this summer.
