Geoffrey, the Ultimate Geocacher

At only 4½ inches tall, Geoffrey (complete with a GPS on a lanyard around his neck and the first Travel Bug to start in Illinois), has all of the equipment, gumption and stamina to be the Ultimate Geocacher, but not the stature. He can't seem to open the boxes - and as far as the distances, every one of our miles seems like 16 to him. Original Goals: Geoffrey wanted to see the U.S. and eventually the world, but had two specific goals in mind. First, he wanted to hide in a cache on the west side of the Continental Divide. On Monday, June 10, 2002, Rogue Ranger placed Geoffrey in West Side Serenade by Iron Chef, thus completing his first goal. Then his goal was to make it back by hook or by crook to a secondary home, in Tribute to Cumberland Trail , which happened on January 10, 2003, when the cache was visited by mosestron. But Wait!
Apparently, the evil forces of the anti-cachers placed a spy in our midst. The intrepid cacher that completed the journey on Jan 10, 2003 was a Geoffrey look-a-like. It has been verified that the guy that Azshtr found in August of 2002 in "Have Bug, Will Travel" was NOT the real Geoffrey. So when we attached a new tag and sent him on his way, he was plotting all the time to take the place of the real Geoffrey and complete his mission. But in the glory days after Geoffrey was resting back at KrooJWG's house awaiting re-release to start the journey home, the real Geoffrey turned up in Finland, found by the cacher Jouko. We have verified his identity through photo comparison. The Geoffrey from Tennessee has been charged with impersonating and intrepid cacher, and will be sent back via USPS to the owners home for a proper flogging. Meanwhile, the REAL Geoffrey will be continuing on his original mission starting in Finland.
