About this item:
Mr. Popper is the title character in one of my favorite childhood books, "Mr. Popper's Penguins" by Richard and Florence Atwater. Written in 1938, it is the story of a house painter who is given a penguin by Admiral Drake, an Antarctic explorer. The one penguin quickly becomes twelve, and the fun begins.
