Current Goal

"Come, to Homercles." Homer hopes to travel the globe to try to be a better philosopher. Please help him by posting one of your favourite quotes or some words of wisdom when you log him here! Eventually, something may sink in through Homer's thick skull, but it will take persistence. Also, he seems to learn best through humour! Watch this Travel Bug to learn along with Homer... Thanks!

About This Item

Looking to the Far Side

As you can see, Homercles is quite the philosopher himself:
"All right, brain, I don't like you and you don't like me - so let's just do this and I'll get back to killing you with beer." "It's not easy to juggle a pregnant wife and a troubled child, but somehow I managed to fit in eight hours of TV a day." "Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try."
"Heh Heh Heh! Lisa! Vampires are make believe, just like elves and gremlins and eskimos!"
"Be quiet, Brain, or I'll stab you with a Q-tip."
"sure, IN theeoory, in theory communism works..."
"What about those red balls they have on car aerials so you can spot your car in a park. I think all cars should have them!"
"Marge! Look at all this great stuff I found at the Marina. It was just sitting in some guy's boat!"
"Hello? Operator! Give me the number for 911!"
"This donut has purple in the middle, purple is a fruit."
"Alcohol, the cause and solution to all of life's problems."
"Ooh, I love your magazine. Especially the 'Enrich Your Wordpower' section. I think it's really...really...really...good"
"If you really want something in this life, you have to work for it. Now, quiet! The're about to announce the lottery numbers..."
"Son, when you participate in sporting events, its not whether you win or lose, its how drunk you get."
"Oh Lisa! You and your stories! Bart is a vampire! Beer kills brain-cells! Now lets go back to that...building...thingy... where our beds and TV...is."
"Lisa, if you don't like your job, you don't strike! You just go in every day and do it really half-assed. That's the American way."
"Mmmm, free goo!"

The philosophy I'd give Homer is a quote by John Muir which goes "the mountains are calling me, and I must go". Living in Columbus I won't be able to take him there since my next adventure isn't gonna be till spring but I will move him along shortly on his quest of enlightenment
