About This Item

image

As a part as our one year anniversary celebration, we've decided to start a trackable. We got married on October 4th, 2014. The significance of the large ring represents our wedding. The name of this cache represents both our first anniversary and our first trackable. The hope is that between the both of them, we will be able to experience many more.

Dropped Off 5/12/2017 Reed2ME placed it in M Travel Bug and Trackables Motel Maine - .35 miles  Visit Log

The M Travel Bug and Trackable Motel was placed with landowner permission as a mystery geocache on May 12, 2017. With the building open 24/7, we requested permission to be placed inside with the geocaching description below. I tell this story because the original six trackables that started in this geocache remained hidden within the building until May 31, 2017. Bill Yeo, the Retail Manager of the L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery School, and I moved the geocache to the current location outside the Hunting and Fishing Store on May 31, 2007 after Geocaching.com did not grant permission for indoor placement. The revised listing published on the morning of June 1, 2017, the day we dropped these trackables in the M Travel Bug and Trackables Motel.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the M Travel Bug and Trackable Motel! From the coordinates, grab a fishing rod and come inside! Pull an antler and you're on your way!

Here, you have to make a choice, to climb the granite mountainside among the wild animals or to take the elevator to the M Travel Bug and Trackable Motel. The key to unlock the door can be seen from the base of the mountainside above the "Cafe." 1000 years will be lost to gain entry to the Motel.

Once you have made your ascent, you will find the Motel nestled below the next granite ascent. Register in the Guest Services log book which trackables you check in or check out. Be quiet and respectful of the neighbors and remember to lock the door when you leave. We hope you enjoy your stay! Special thanks to Jeph_Gileadite for consulting on the placement of the M Travel Bug and Trackable Motel.
