How do Trackable Items work?

Recently Spotted: Unknown Location

Current GOAL: Lizzy, CircumConUS Racer is competing in the Race and his goal is to travel to Texas, then Florida, then Maine, then Minnesota, then Washington and finally California. Please help her circumnavigate the conterminous United States, making these required "stops" along the way.

About this item: Lizzy, CircumConUS Racer

These are some of the rules:

1. Travel bugs will follow a counter-clockwise route around the US. The required stops are at lease one cache placement in the following states: California (starting state and cache), Texas, Florida, Maine, Minnesota, Washington, and back to the starting cache IN THAT ORDER. The bugs must trace the states in this order so any skipping of these goal states means backtracking. All other states and countries can be skipped.

2. Bugs must be physically placed in a cache in each state visited. No "I was here with the bug" logs, someone else has to retrieve the bug after placement.

3. After the start, no TB racer owners can handle ANY of the racers. The actions of third parties are not under the owners' control. They have a long race to run, so negative interference is not encouraged. Please be considerate and fair to the racers and help them on the way.

4. After the start, no more than two race bugs may be placed in any given cache.

Picked up Lizzie TB today. Am on a 13 state adventure and saw this TB. From reading the website, I see that it hasn't made it to the required Texas. I will try to leave it nearer to the southern border...Maybe Colorado or Arizona. I will be stopping in Sturgis(SD), Minn, Colorado, & Arizona. If the TB owner sees this, maybe he/she can give me some guidance as to where they'd like it dropped off. Will try to check my email periodically along the trip.

Visited cache in Cody WY today where the bug is located... It doesn't have any directions about where it's been & where it needs to go next with it. The map is not marked on the bug. Was traveling back to California today, but didn't want to take the chance of traveling the wrong direction with it. From reading the website now.... I guess the next location is Texas??? Can anybody get to the bug & clarify the directions with the bug?
