Comenius goes Geocaching

COMENIUS GOES GEOCACHING - This is the title of an europeanwide project run by four schools situated in Germany, Italy, Scotland and Spain.:

Willy Brandt-Gesamtschule Kerpen (Germany)
Istituto tecnico industriale statale “Carlo Zuccante (Italy)
IES de Fuentesaúco (Spain)
Inverness Royal Academy (Scotland)


The project deals – of course – with geocaching. It is supported by the EU and getting funds out of the SOKRATES/COMENIUS programme. The project started in 2006 and runs until summer 2009. The basic idea is to link international schools and creating chances for pupils all over Europe to meet and getting the chance to practise different languages, at first hand English! There were several meetings of the project partners and some caches were created! The pupils learned about different things and habits of the involved partners and how to use basic skills in language and the usage of geocaching.
