Current Goal

Being an enlightened sort myself, I wish to see dear Byron educated in the classical fashion before his controversial and flamboyant life dances him into a hangman's noose. A Grand Tour is certainly in order. Perhaps he shall finally be tamed by the high fashions in Paris, the renaissance art in Florence, the musical legacy in Naples, the architecture of Rome, the yachtman's touch in Sicily, or the vast libraries in Munich.

Byron the Travel Bug

Byron is an impulsive, and emotional creature more focused on living than logic. Though I've heard him called "mad, bad and dangerous to know", I can't argue that the public often seems enamored of his scandalous exploits. Better they honor him for that than for his scathing, disrespectful and all too common prose, I suppose. He is certainly not afraid of taking risks, and I imagine than rather do what I ask, in the fashion that would suit the rest of us... he will probably wander off in search of danger, excitement, some pretty girl to woo, or some king to mock. If you run across him, please drop me a line to let me know what new scheme he has concocted to shock the world.
