About This Item

Sandy Sea Turtle - tagged & ready for release

Sandy would like to visit all sorts of warm beaches as she travels around the world, and maybe to meet other turtles. She'd love to make it to Waikiki in Hawaii and maybe even to Ostional National Wildlife Refuge in Costa Rica. This is the site of the Arribada, where thousands of sea turtles migrate to in order to lay their eggs. The closest cache to the Refuge is Playa Hermosa (GCPWH8).

Pictures along the way are always appreciated. Thanks to Pig#3 for the turtle!

after picking up sandy, and logging her visit, we see that she hailed from north east...well, we will be bringing her back (to Long Island, NY) in hopes someone will help her on her mission to get to hawaii or costa rica.
