About This Item

ICE Mantid

ICE Mantis began her travels at Lincoln, Nebraska USA. She has a little protective traveling case and she will be happy to come out for a visit especially if there's a camera around. She's really a very friendly and gentle creature unless you happen to be a smaller insect. If you keep any bugs for pets don't let her near them. If you remove her from her case please return her to it and tape it shut before you send her on her way. Happy travels little mantid. I hope to see you at a future ESA meeting back in the states.

Visiting the cache to update final mileage. ICE Mantid has been joined by her companion ICE Beetle (actually only his tag recovered after a fire destroyed his last cache) who started travel at the same time in August 2004. They have earned retirement.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 5/2/2008 NevaP grabbed it   Visit Log

The Mantid is back home in Nebraska. I will take her to visit a cache to get her travels updated. Many thanks to David who rescued her.

I think she will rest for a bit and then I will take her to the I.C.E. meeting in South Africa.

David took a great photo of the mantid after he rescued her. Here she is, ready to ride home.
