About This Item

Thalia II

Queen Thalia II has continuously ruled West Brigadoon since December 10, 1869, when she assumed the throne from her retiring father, High King Earp Chaparral V, who voluntarily left to manage a pronghorn cattle cooperative in Texas. Christened Esther Elizabeth Marie Antoinette Sacagawea Sadie Jones, Princess Esther was long loved by her thralldom centuries before she became the ruling monarch.  A powerful personality with virtuous action, Princess Esther championed social and fiscal equality among the Jackelope populations.  One of her earliest, memorable efforts was the highly successful push to provide quality education among very young and adolescent jackelopes in her "No Kit Left Behind" initiative of 1518.  Princess Esther's legendary behind-the-scenes negotiating skills were never more crucial than her efforts to introduce and pass the West Brigadoon Fair Trade Act, which single-handedly quelled the Eskilope Secession of 1683 (fueled by French and British tundra exploration).  But her reknown will always be recognized post-coronation. Queen Thalia's greatest impact on jackelope-kind was borne from her patient, persistent leadership of the West Brigadoon Delegation to the International Magical Creatures Organization (IMCO).  Over decades of careful negotiations with IMCO representatives, she eridacated jackelope prong-based recipes from standard potions books, outlawed charms  using jackelope feet, and legalized the controvertial prongalot hex, useable only by jackelopes as protection against predators.  Her stalwart efforts have achieved a 70% reduction in jackelope predation rate and a 30% overall increase in jackelope life expectancy since the late 1950s.  A boon to jackelope-kind, she is a three-time winner of the Platinum Prong, West Brigadoon's highest honor.  She is the only royalty to ever have earned, and the only multiple winner, of the award.
