Dieser Travel Bug ist dem wahrscheinlich größten Heavy-Metal-Festival der Welt gewidmet: dem Wacken Open Air, das seit 1990 alljährlich die kleine Gemeinde Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein zur zur Full Metal Village und somit zur Pilgerstätte für Abertausende Heavy-Metal-Jünger aus der ganzen Welt werden lässt. Das Festival hat inzwischen absoluten Kultstatus erlangt, die begehrten Tickets sind stets innerhalb kürzester Zeit ausverkauft. Dat is Wacken!

Ich grüße mit diesem WACKEN Bug alle Metalheads in der ganzen Welt, die schon in Wacken waren oder bald sein werden. (Und natürlich grüße ich auch alle anderen Geocachers ebenso. Fühlt Euch nicht ausgeschlossen – Wacken Fans sind toleranter und friedfertiger, als es auf den ersten Blick scheinen mag!)

This Travel Bug is dedicated to the probably biggest Heavy Metal Festival on this planet: the Wacken Open Air, which is held every year in a small town in northern Germany (Schleswig Holstein), making it the Full Metal Village and therefore the pilgrim place for thousands and thousands of Heavy Metal Followers from all over the world. By now the festival enjoys cult status, the much coveted tickets are sold out every time within hours. Dat is Wacken!

By placing this Wacken Bug I would like to greet all you Metal Heads out there in the world, those who already have been to Wacken as well as those who will be there soon. (And of course, I send greetings to all Geocachers in generell - no matter what kind of music they like. Don’t feel dismissed. Wacken Fans are more tolerant and peaceful than you might think!)
