Received this coin as a FTF prize in a local cache -- Thanks to cacher Mapachi for his generosity and contributions to the great sport of geocaching. The name of the coin is attributed to the fact that I'm currently assigned to Ladder 1 and "The Pirates" is a monikor that was given to that station long before I was assigned there. What else to name a pirate themed geocoin??? Great looking coin and hope it remains for all to find/discover in the geocaching community instead of in a personal collection like so many others.

This is a totally sweet coin. I want one for my substantial collection. I have a severe weakness for anything related to pirates, navigation, astronomy and compass roses. Maybe I was a seafarer in another life?

Found this coin in the Eartha's Cache in Falmouth, ME. Will move it around to another cache as soon as we find something other than a micro or virtual! Nice coin!
