To someday be in a cache that gets blown up by a bomb squad or at least find out about caches that have already been blown up.

About This Item

The first iteration of this looked way too authentic (despite its innards being kleenex and potting soil), so I had to scale it down to a more comical and less-believable model. See "original" pic below.

The List

  • GCKR1P - Bubble Bubble Toil & Trouble
    news story

  • GCGEB0 - Farewell Tour
"Talk about GLITCHES! The cache was found be a passerby, taken home and put in his recycle bin. Much to the chagrin of his neighbors, the bomb squad was contacted and saw fit to destroy the container with a water canon! No to fear! The cache will be replaced and a redirect installed in the near future."

  • GCKEG7 - Mental Floss I
"I think we can explain what happened to this one. As we were hunting Fishing for Cache a policeman came along and wanted to know what we were doing. We explained Geocaching to him and he said "Oh yeah, we blew one of those up last night". They investigated for several hours and thought it might be a bomb so they "disposed" of it. I guess they can claim LTF (Last to Find)."

  • GC9C3A - In Plane Site
"I just saw the tail end of a piece on KSL TV, Channel Five and this cache is ...er..GONE! They didn't take kindly to a geocache placed under a bridge outside the entrance to a military facility. Too bad, it was a great cache! It should be archived immediately. Here's the link to the story: - RogerB"

  • GCJZD7 - The Tin Lizzy
"Yep!! Sure enough I woke up this morning to hear on the radio that was cache was blown up!!! Naturally I've archiving the cache. In my defense, I DID (underline DID three times!!!) have permission from the owner to place this here; he must not have informed his employees."

Discovering some Trackables from images I took or found.
Some of them were taken long ago.
I hope I have read all codes correctly, some of the numbers were a bit vague.

    Thanks for sharing.

Just a note... This past week, geocache caused a Walmart in Titusville, PA to be evacuated, and then the cache was subsequently blown up.
