Goal: Travel from cache to cache in search of BRAAAAINS. Visit Geocaching events. Spread the plague. Please take photos!
Meet Wade a zombie who has become patient number 167 in our study of the propagation of the zombie plague via geocaching. Wade was a prison guard who worked the night shift. He was a tall, sort of non-descript fellow, and he drove a purple Subaru. He collected walking sticks, and was interested in falconry, but had never really pursued it. He chewed tobacco.
We think that Wade contracted the zombie plague from Patient # 72 – Earl. While we have no direct evidence that this is the case, we do know that Wade worked in the prison in which Earl was incarcerated, and that the first dozen or so caches Wade went after were all caches that Earl had found. This is the only link we have found between Wade any other cacher up until the time he contracted the plague.
This travel bug is part of a larger study to take a closer look at how the zombie plague might propagate if the primary vector for spreading the disease was geocaching. Please visit the following website for further details, and a visualization of how the disease has propagated thus far based on the movement and discovery of this and other infected Zombie travel bugs:
