Hotspur visited the Wave (in Vermillion Cliffs, AZ) on Sunday. I didn't find a geocache there, so he's still with me here at Pipe Spring. If I'm at the front desk and you ask for him, you can have him.

In the Southwestern Utah desert summer on 29 Aug. 2009, Hotspur finally found a home in the Shinob Kibe Cache (Percible needs to log the placement). I'll upload some pictures of his new home atop the Shinob Kibe mesa near Washington, Utah.

Wow, has Percible kept Hotspur out of circulation for around 3 1/2 years?!?!? Boggle!

Behind Hotspur's neck is a blurry reddish image of Ivins, Utah's Red Mountain. Hotspur clasps beige lichen-encrusted sandstone atop the Shinob Kibe mesa.

  • Hotspur's neighbors-in-residence atop Shinob Kibe Hotspur has a few neighbors (or did at the time he took up residence in the Shinob Kibe Cache) with whom he terrorizes the countryside.

Found Hotspur on the top of a Cinder Cone in the Cinder Cone Jar cache. Perfect location for him. I'll have to find an equally suitable site for him to visit. This is my first time every transporting an official travel bug. Kind of fun.

I'll let you know as soon as I drop the dragon off.

Just a quick note to let you know Hotspur is traveling again, this time with Percible (my brother) who found him and traded for him at the Cinder Cone Jar cache. I'll bug my brother to prod him to keep the dragon moving on.

My log of the cache find where Hotspur was found is on my personal caching blog:
