I'm ready to Travel

I have been allowed time to see the world before I take up my parental role (as all good bunnies do!). I have to return to Chester (UK) by Dec2006 so that I can be available for the Easter Bunny parade.

B's Bunny made it safely back to the states and joined us for Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

  • Enjoying Zulu and Rex Parades on Fat Tuesday B's Bunny went with us to the Zulu and Rex parades on Fat Tuesday.
  • Hanging out in the crowd St. Charles avenue was packed on the last day of Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Here is a shot of B's Bunny with the crowd surrounding some marchers in the Zulu parade.
  • Where's B? B relaxes after the parades with a few of his new friends from Mardi Gras. My two year old son and very pregnant wife attracted a lot of good throws this year.

Dipping it in the cache we visited this weekend.

  • In front of the museum In front of the archeological museum in the nation reserve near Paracas, Peru.
  • At La Catedral in Paracas, Peru We took B's Bunny to La Catedral but didn't take a picture of it at the overlook since we though we'd be walking up to it on the beach. On the drive to the beach, our guide changed his mind and said it was too foggy leaving us without a picture of the TB at the actual cache.

Just dipped the TB into this virtual cache in Peru so that he would get credit for taveling all this way with us. He is enjoying his trip to Peru and looking forward to some of our side trips out of the city of Lima.

Our first weekend in Peru was spent settling into the home we're renting so we didn't have a chance to venture out much. To make it up to B's Bunny, we took him for a walk down the street to Larcomar, a very posh shopping center overlooking the Pacific ocean. This coming weekend should have us seeing much more of the city including our first virtual geocache hunt.

  • At the Larcomar shopping center in Lima, Peru This is a shot of showing the TB and me at the Larcomar shopping center which is located in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru. It is a really posh shopping center perched on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I has lots of great stores, touristy restuarants, a movie theatre, and even a bowling alley!

We are happy to report that B's Bunny arrived safe and sound in Lima, Peru and is doing wonderful. We hope to seek out a cache soon that we can log him into so that he gets credit for his journey.

Picked him up for a 6 week trip to Peru with his owners' permission. If we can, we'll find another geocacher in Peru to pass him on to. If not, he'll come back home with us to New Orleans just in time for Mardi Gras!
