When we moved from Los Angeles to Virginia Beach in 2007, we took Interstate 40 for the majority of our trip, from Barstow, CA, until we broke off in North Carolina to head north. With my husband already in Virginia to start his new job while I finished packing and moving, it was a six-day trip with my best friend, my seven-year-old daughter, two pugs, one cat and one hermit crab. It was my first (and so far only) cross-country road trip, and although we were trying to get to our destination as quickly as possible, we enjoyed seeing the sights and landscapes of our country.
In honor of our cross-country trip and of the road that we traveled on, I would love for this trackable to travel to as many places along Interstate 40 as possible, starting at the eastern end in Wilmington, NC, and ending up in Barstow, CA.
