Mission #1 - I would love to return to Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii where I was created.
Mission #2 - To travel to Island of St. Lawrence in the Bering Sea.
Fossil ivory is a legacy from a people who hunted for subsistance the American Eskimo. The ivory, dug from the old Eskimo camps in northwestern Alaska, is almost entirely walrus and much of it has been worked by those early hunters.
The inherent beauty of this material is due to mineral permeation of the ivory through prolonged submersion in the artic soil.
The majority of the best quality ivory comes from the island of St. Lawrence in the Bering Sea. The "Old" ivory as the Eskimos call it, is dug in their short summer months, June through September.
