"Goldie would like to travel as much as possible. But Goldie would like to see California someday, where lots of gold was discovered."
My grandchild (and first geocaching partner) found this unactivated coin in a geocache. I accidentally activated it in my name, but it is really her coin, so here is her description and mission.
"My coin is gold, so I named it Goldie, after my fish and the color gold" - cavy16
* Note: "Goldie" is a USA Geocoin that travelled to only one cache before falling into the black hole of muggledom. After waiting nearly eight months for it to surface somewhere, we have pretty much given up hope for it. We are releasing a cardboard copy in memory of the coin, and hope that this proxy coin sees California someday, along with many other cool places that the original coin never made it to. Can you help it along on it's journey?

We found Goldie in our old Geocaching bag that has reaching been packed away under the stairs since our move to Florida - we’ve mistakenly had her for around 10 years! Forgive us!
Our (now grown) kiddos made a new caching bag after we moved to Florida 10 years ago and Goldie must have been accidentally left in the old one. My husband and I thought we’d renew our interest and pick up a few finds as we drove to Washington (yes, state) from Florida for Christmas with a couple of our grown kids, so I pulled out the old bag and there she was!
So now Goldie has been from Florida to Washington, and today realized her dream of reaching California - we placed her in a cache in the Redwood Forest.

Found it with my brother and sister. Then Grandpa pulled up the cache and took it with us. He is retiring it. He says we are the LTF's, "last to find" this cache.

I was here for the Earth Day CITO event last month but didn't stop to log this cache. Today I was back in town for a graduation party for grand daughter #1(cavy16), hosted by daughter #1 and granddaughter #2. It was a great party, and afterwards I took enough time to stop for the cache. Thanks kiko101 for this and all of the fine caches you've hidden in the area.
