Current Goal

his coin wishes to travel the world to celebrate Maria Montessori and her techniques for teaching children that have lasted 100 years and I hope will continue for hundreds more.

About This Item

The purpose of this WMS Geocoin is to celebrate the wonder of Montessori education, especially as it applies to the school my children attend, the Washington Montessori School, of New Preston, Connecticut. If all children could grow up learning this way the world would be a much brighter and smarter place.

Found this while camping at Lake Waramaug in New Preston. We drove by the school on our way there. I found one of these in Slovakia and brought it to the Southwest US. I figured I should grab it and move it along.
