Current Goal

GeoRugby is played on a full size England-shaped pitch with this Official GeoRugby Ball. You can find the complete rules of the game on the GeoRugby web-page.

Current MATCH: One of the great grudge matches: Northerners v Southerners! If you don't instinctively know where your roots lie, or if you are a Midlander, check your home latitude against the Centre of England cache to see who you should play for.

Current SCORE: Live from the GeoRugby web-page... scoreBoard();

About This Item

If you find the ball in a cache (and you want to play) simply take it with you. Note, it is not actually a ball, nor does it have a physical dog tag. It is in fact a uniquely numbered card token representing the ball. When you get to a PC, email us with the unique Ball Number to find out if the ball is still in play.

If it is, we'll send back the TB dog-tag id for you to log your find. Then quickly place it in another cache, usually further north or further south depending on your side and the state of play. You're against the clock: if you hold onto the ball for too long it's out of play and the match will restart with a new ball and a scrum at the Centre of England cache.

Useful LINKS: View the pitch map showing the play so far. Discuss the match in the GeoRugby forum.

The ball is out of play. The referee checks his calendar. He puts the whistle to his lips...

Phweeeeeeep!

Game over. With the last play of the game the Northerners clinch victory in a closely fought game. Rutson's sliding try from 9.5 miles out proves decisive, and is capped by Harrogate Hunters' close range 2.5 mile conversion.

Final score 7-0.

Has anyone filled the bath?

Moved on Sunday although only logged today - moved North towards the Northern try line - if I've got the rules right!

Thanks

Great Idea

Called to pick this on the way to see a proper rugby game and yes the northern side did win - although I hate to say so as it was a yorkshire team and I'm Lancastrian!
