Goal: Travel from cache to cache in search of BRAAAAINS. Visit Geocaching events. Spread the plague. Please take photos!
Meet Dwight, a zombie who has become patient number 118 in our study of the propagation of the zombie plague via geocaching. Dwight was a mechanical engineer, specializing in complex shapes and ceramics. His primary work was on anti-splashback urinal and bidet design. He liked the social aspects of caching the most, attending events and working on power trails and geotrails together with other cachers. He was deaf in his left ear, kept his head shaved, and preferred brown leather over black, which he felt was less subtle. He followed formula one racing, and owned a boa constrictor called "Buckaroo."
We believe that Dwight contracted the zombie plague from patient eighty-three, Lemuel. We know that Lemuel was a very hands on sort of person, socially outgoing, and physically touchy-feely. He liked to give hugs. Lemuel hosted a geocaching event for Marylanders who were going to attend the Berkshire Geobash in western Massachusetts. He hugged and shook hands with everyone who came (there were forum entries about this later by a number of cachers) and we believe that this is how Dwight got the plague, as he attended this event with a number of other cachers who also came down with the malady shortly thereafter.
This travel bug is part of a larger study to take a closer look at how the zombie plague might propagate if the primary vector for spreading the disease was geocaching. Please visit the following website for further details, and a visualization of how the disease has propagated thus far based on the movement and discovery of this and other infected Zombie travel bugs:
