This dog tag is happy to travel from cache to cache. It will be extra happy, if it finds itself in caches that have to do with theatre, literature or the Second World War.
But no stress, it will be thankful just being on the move!
Thank You for taking care of this TB!
This dog tag is a from a theater play at the
Finnish National Theatre and it caused quite a sensation in Finland when it premiered in November 2007. Part of the sensation was that the play was "an adaptation of the novel to a new generation", and that was not acceptable to all Finns.
The dog tag was a ticket to one of the rehearsal shows just before opening night.
The theater play is an adaptation of one the classic books of Finland, The Unknown Soldier by Väinö Linna. A story set in the Continuation War, where Finland and Soviet Union were in a war of their own during Second World War.
There are also two film adaptations of the book, one in black and white by famous Finnish director Edvin Laine (1955), and a newer one in 1985 by another famous Finnish director Rauni Mollberg.
By the way, it was not until 2003 that the 1955 movie was shown in Russia for the first time.
More about the theatre play in Finnish.
Article in English about the play's director, Kristian Smeds, includes a reference to the play.
