Walk the Plank Doubloon

New Mission:This Travel Bug has already visited many people and places on a grand adventure before returning home. Since then, it has been moonlighting as our good luck charm and has, in turn, traveled to more interesting locations, such as numerous games and the Cup party on the streets in Boston. Therefore, it’s only appropriate that we send it back out on another improbable mission.
This time, it’s goal is Dan Blackburn. To be more precise, it also wants to convince him to come Geocaching next time his is in the Jersey area. I guess this would be where you insert your favorite cliché about big goals and /or taking chances. But why not? Caching is fun, and you can tell him your favorite stories in the attached notebook.
Of course, stalking is not a viable or appropriate option for this TB or the cachers that possess it. So, since he lives around Dallas, Texas (and I’m pretty sure he won’t stay away from hockey long) it would probably by most effective placed in caches near ice rinks. And hopefully, it will eventually run into someone who knows him. You know, the “right time/right place” thing. And even though I’m visiting Texas in early August, it seemed more fun to start the bug off in NY. After all, the journey is a large part of the misadventure.

 Old Mission: Pillage and plunder various ports of call. This salty sea dog travel bug has been released from custody (along with two brothers) for two years to travel afar. When his time is through, the owners plan to travel to his location to take custody of this scallywag and, hopefully, enjoy a vacation. 

This is one of three pirate themed gold doubloons released on the same weekend. Maybe he will also cross paths with his brothers, Dead Men Tell No Tales and Shiver Me Timbers. After spending years on land, completing his mission, returning to captivity and learning his two brothers were commandeered in 2008, Walk the Plank is yearning to taste the salty sea air. . .
