To travel from Ohio back home to Fort Worth, Texas. Tell me interesting things about the places it goes along the way. Give me a reason to want to visit those places in the future.
Hello All. Mrs. 99 here.
The family (Mr. 00, Little Miss 34 and Little Man 36) and I live in Fort Worth, Texas. But I was born here in the fantastic state of Ohio. In Dayton to be exact. We used to visit on a regular basis when I was young. But it’s been almost two decades since my last trip. My mom and I decided to come up for a week and visit some family, see the sights, and eat our favorite foods. (Cassano’s Pizza which I hope is as tasty as I remember and Esther Price candy which I KNOW is as tasty as I remember.)
I thought it would be fun to bring a travel bug with me. I’m going to leave it here in Ohio and wait to see how long it takes to get back to Texas. I’ve always been a fan of getting off the main road and exploring the unbeaten path. Unplanned detours often lead to interesting places. This travel bug won’t mind taking the long route home either. When you log your find, please include something interesting about where you are. We have kids and they are almost to the age where we will be able to travel more. Maybe you can help inspire some interesting vacation ideas.
For fun, I have attached a flash drive with the song “Ohio” by the band Bowling For Soup on it. I know that the geocaching community is a respectable group of people. But still, it might cross paths with someone who would want to add inapproriate material or a virus. In an attempt to keep that from happening, I’ve done my best to protect the drive so that nothing else can be added to it. It should contain the song and nothing else. If you find anything other than this song on the drive, please let me know. We'll figure out what to do with it.
