We drove from 5th Street Cache is Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin to Chisago City, Minnesota to visit MIL this weekend. My geocaching goal for the weekend is to 1. make our 100th find and 2. end the journey for some of the TBs. This cache was find #100. WOO HOO! Ring the Bell! Throw the confetti!!
Oldest son and I went out today and had a bit of difficulty with this one. The line about the beaver really threw us as we didn't see anything that looked like a beaver dam. We walked down by the water and that wasn't giving us any results. We went again by the side of the drive. My kid didn't want to go in the brush so I went solo. After some searching and fighting off the mosquitos I found it!! Oldest son came in after me so we could take some photos of the TBs as we said our goodbyes to them. For the next geocacher who picks them up here's some valuable information about the TBs.
David Garrett on Tour: David is new to the Green Family Tour Bus Tours so I don't know too much about him. Here's what we did learn in our short time with him. David is very talented and plays some beautiful music. He was good at keeping Traveling Darlene (dropped in another cache earlier in the day) calm as she pined over her Dan. Otherwise, he was quiet and kept to himself.
Li'l White Hen is staying with us for the return trip to 5th Street Cache. Her goal is to go Iowa. Since this trip this weekend gets her further from her destination she was not dropped today.
Northern Star Council: Northern Star Council was another pretty quiet bug. For not having any arms or legs he did quite well keeping up with the gang. We had some pretty nifty times together including Great America, hiking at Devil's Lake and riding the waves at Mt. Olympus. He didn't complain about Darlene's whining either which was nice.
Smurf TB1: Traveled with us with a broken leg. wow! He's impressive. I've grown quite fond of this guy and hate to give him up. He may need a refill on his vicodin as his leg does bother him a bit. Smurf likes to try all new adventures and does his best not to let his broken leg get in the way of him having fun. He's a bit leery of wooded areas because he knows that Gargamel might be right around the corner.

Good luck Travel Bugs!! I will miss you and hope that someone picks up all of you together so you can stay as a group.

We drove from 5th Street Cache is Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin to Chisago City, Minnesota to visit MIL this weekend. My geocaching goal for the weekend is to 1. make out 100th find and 2. end the journey for some of the TBs. This cache was find #97. Oldest son and I went out and made this one harder than it needed to be. We did a mental head slap when we found it. Can you say, "DOH!"?? We took a few pictures of the points of interest at the park.
