The Ladybug Travel Bug's mission is to avoid overwintering during the frigid Alaskan Interior winters by traveling "Outside" to the lower-48 states and to return to Alaska in the summer to dine on the plentiful aphids found on the arctic roses and birch trees.

The Ladybugs Study the Map at Journey's Beginning

Mini-V Ladybug's Ladybug Travel Bug escaped Fairbanks, Alaska, in October 2004, just as the last leaves were falling from the trees and the first snow fell. Please help her stay warm over the winter in the "lower 48" (a stop through Tucson or Phoenix, AZ, and Minneapolis, MN, would be especially nice) and help her migrate back to Interior Alaska for the short beautiful summer.

Mini-V Ladybug's Ladybug Travel Bug has a sister, Mini-I Ladybug's Ladybug Travel Bug. Like a lot of sisters, they will drift apart hopefully to come back together for a reunion at the family home in Interior Alaska each summer. 

Mini-V herself is five years old and will be learning geography as her Ladybug Travel Bug makes its way across the country and back.

After a short flight through the beautiful Stubai-Valley I took the Ladybug to Telfs, a nice city at the river "Inn".
Late at night (22:00) I gave him a new home at the historical "Innbridge" ;-)

Today I was at the event "Eastern Austria meets Western Austria" in Innsbruck at the marvellous "Butzihuette" (http://www.buzihuette.at/).
Still can't believe that there was an Austrian Geocacher who found more than 10.000 Cache (the 3rd one here in Austria)! :-)

Found it yesterday in Leutasch, Tirol (Austria).
So the ladybug stayed for a short time in the Austrian Alps, at a sealevel of nearly 1200m...
As the weather wasn't really fine (see picture), I took it with me to Wattens in the Innvalley - today we had 30° Celsius here ;-)
At the moment it stays very near to the famous Swarovski Crystalworlds!
