This coin is a tribute to Minna Kauppi of the sports club Asikkalan Raikas. It wants to travel all around Europe to meet people who are interested in orienteering as a hobby or as a sport. The coin would like to be photographed in orienteering events or with orienteers. Please do not take this coin outside Europe.

Tämä kolikko on kunnianosoitus Asikkalan Raikkaan Minna Kaupille. Se haluaa matkustaa ympäri Eurooppaa ja tavata suunnistuksen harrastajia ja kilpasuunnistajia. Kolikko haluaisi tulla valokuvatuksi suunnistajien kanssa tai suunnistustapahtumissa. Ethän vie kolikkoa Euroopan ulkopuolelle.

The Champion

Minna Kauppi is the most successful female orienteer in Finland. She has won practically everything there is to win in orienteering, including the World Orienteering Championship 2007 in Ukraine together with Heli Jukkola in a historical race where their finishing time was exactly the same.

Way to go Minna! She won the middle distance World Orienteering Championship in Czech Republic by a staggering finishing time, beating Vroni Koenig-Salmi who came second, by more than two minutes. She's definitely the best female orienteer in the world at the moment.
