Success!  This beautiful lady has made her way to my husband's grandmother and other extended family.  Thanks to all who helped her alongher way!


I want to fly to my distant family in Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan. In the meantime, please move me only to caches in butterfly-friendly locales (no lampposts, please!). I'd love to have my picture taken with other butterflies, or caterpillars in their natural environment!

About This Item

This butterfly wants to fly to Japan, Fukuoka City in particular, and visit my mother-in-law's family. My husband hasn't been to see his grandmother and uncles since he was a teen, and it is very unlikely that our daughter and her little brothers will ever get to meet their second cousins, so we are sending them a little something to say "hello." All I ask is that the person who retrieves this butterfly from a Fukuoka cache be willing to contact me for directions at that time. Thanks!

    The TB was sleeping at a cache in Kokura, and somebody kindly added a memo (both in English/Japanese) "destination Fukuoka." I was planning to visit Fukuoka next day, and I could know the destination without seeing this web.
    Now I set the TB at a safer cache in Fukuoka with a memo "don't move out from Fukuoka," and contacted my friend living in Saga (next of Fukuoka Pref.).
    Actually, after returning to my home town Yokohama I'm told the TB's purpose/history from him, read this page and felt grad to join this small story. Thanks.
