Current Goal

The mission of this coin (aka the Redneck Riviera) is to travel from the state of Alabama in the United States of America; to Mainz/Franfurt/Weisbaden/Baumholder/Hamburg and many more places in Germany ; then back to Alabama.

About This Item

I was blessed with a wonderful childhood in these parts of Germany. My father was in the US Army and my many adventures from 2 to 9 yrs old was in these parts of Germany in 1976 through 1982. My youngest years were in Baumholder/Hamburg Germany. I lived in Martin Luther King Village in Mainz Germany. Since those days it has been turned back over to the German economy. I enjoyed the carnivals of the Rhine River in Mainz and visited many local US bases in Frankfurt and Weisbaden. I learned German for two years, which I know much of as this day. I can see the beautiful valleys and lush green hills of the Rhine river in mind to this day. When you travel and get to These Places in Germany please post and share pictures... for this is like a treasured fairytale of my childhood, but a beautiful reality that I enjoy telling and retelling to my son and many many others. From the Land of Cotton to the Land of Beauty and of Childhood Memories NOT FORGOTTEN - dont forget to send it back toward Alabama !

My son and I retrieved this beautiful coin on our first MultiCache Find! :-) We live right across the street from the first stop, and it was a lovely morning for a stage cache hunt. I will send it someplace fun, and hopefully get it to Germany!

I grabbed this coin from a Cache box in Trussville, Alabama - home of the first Geocache in the whole state! I received this beautiful coin after getting attacked by hundreds (felt/looked like millions) mosquitoes (or skeeters). Needless to say leave it to me to get a great hide like this one on the day the mosquitoes decided to have their own picnic in the park :) This one is being taken up north and my brother (GlobalBizarre) will help send it on its mission. Thanks Brother :) Can't wait to see where its going next :)
