Current Goal

He's big and he's brassy and he's called Bert. All he wants to do is squeeze his big brass body into as many caches in as many places as he possibly can. He also likes to be polished on a regular basis. He would love to spread his wings but if he flew into you you would really know about it!

About This Item

It looks like Bert has gone missing. There's been no activity for over 6 months now so I can only assume that he has been stolen and is being used as an ash tray somewhere. My first travel bug to go missing. Good luck to him! UPDATE.....  Bert has returned from the dead! Missing since January 2008 he has re-appeared in February 2012! All speed to hin in his renewed travels. Also, I have removed his picture because it showed my ex partner and I didn't really want to look at his mug.

Bert is one of the bigest mothers I have ever recovered from a cache. Goodness knows why I did?

We were concerned that Bert was only squatting adjacent to this cache, so decided to go out and rescue him. We will hope to find a suitably sized home soon - it had better be soon, as he weighs too much to carry around for long! 💀

Biggest TB we've ever seen! Will take him back to Swindon with us, and try to find somewhere big enough for him to hide, once he has had a polish.
