This hiking stick belongs to PDX Spotters and would like to travel to its owner in Portland, Oregon. It would like it's final destination in Portland to be "Phaedra Art Rocks" (GCG0NC) Please hide it securely near a cache and log it in like any other travel bug with instructions as to how the stick can be found. Or, pass the stick along to another trustworthy geocacher, who is westbound.
One hiking staff, handmade by CacheNCarryMA, and awarded to PDX Spotters for their winning guess in CnC's "Stick It To Me" taxtime Travel Bug Contest. It is made from a maple sapling removed from the edge of his yard last spring. It includes a four-color geocaching logo medallion, climbing rope loop, and brass tip, and is protected by eight coats of polyurethane. This was his first attempt at making a staff. There is some "checking" (fine cracks) on the stick, but on the whole, he thinks it turned out all right and we think it looks fantastic!

Since we were heading to Seattle we offered to give this bug a lift. We know some folks from PDX are heading up to the GeoBoo in Tacoma in a few weeks so hopefully one of them can bring it south for PDX Spotters.
