About This Item

Trilobug

Okay, I've been buried in stone for over 500 million years. Things have changed and I want to travel to see the world. My owners fear that I will just revert back to the ground or turn to dust. So they ask that you take a few pictures to prove that I'm still travelling around.

This gem came from about 50 miles west of Delta, Utah.

UPDATE!! - October 2003
After being placed in the River #2 Cache the cache and this Travel Bug experienced an arsonist induced brush fire.

Luckily for owner of the TB and for the TB itself, the most excellent cachers of Team Gunn Parker saved the travel bug. Having barely survived the fire the travel bug was rescued from the cache and then carefully placed in ice, as these most recent pictures show.

The owners of the TB would like to thank Team Gunn Parker for their retrieval and resurrection of this TB so far away from it's home.

This is sad to hear, as we assisted in its resurrection although badly damaged after it survived a bush fire in Western Australia. Well we hope that it arises again and is around for another 500 million years.

What a shame, this bug will stay in my memory for a long time and I have always enjoyed it's travels.

Sorry for the bad news... 😟

Sadly, it seems that Trilobug must have been muggled from its last known location - in the Lomas de Arena cache near Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

To the owners of the Trilobug - I sure was looking forward to bringing it back to New York with me, but it looks like that thing is long gone. (Probably in some local kid´s bedroom, sitting on a shelf). Sorry!

The hiding place wasn´t really obvious...until you´re right upon it...and I imagine that someone stumbled upon it.

Retrieved from Aviary cache as the first cache of the day.
What a cool journey it has been on. I have some big plans for the bug, so stay tuned.
