Current Goal

Good afternoon, nice to meet you, I am GEO-JOE.

In my position as Geo-Mascot of j_blue I would like to meet the Geo-Mascots of other Cachers, please make some pictures of my "meetings" and put them online.

If you do not own a Geo-Mascot but a special creative Geo-T-shirt I also like to be pictured with it. If you do not own either a mascot or a special T-Shirt, just help me to travel around as much as possible.

Thank you very much for your assistance,
best regards,

Sincerely Yours,
Geo-Joe

Ok, found a nice cache big enough to hold this bug. This was a fun theme. As I never got a chance to add anything about my own personal mascots, I will do that now. I did have a tb that I kept attached to my gps. It was a beaded keychain and I loved it, but it got lost on a recent trip. I still 'dip' my gps in each cache I visit so I have a map of where I have been, but I miss the beaded keychain. I guess my current mascot would be my dog, Chester. He is a rescue, a mutt. I work with a dog rescue group in Tucson and I fostered him for 24 hours before I decided I was going to keep him. He is my foster failure!! ;) He is an almost constant companion and he has traveled to about 8 states in the past year and caches with me all the time. He is a wonderful traveler, and awesome companion, and my current best friend. I take him to cito's with me and the kids love it. He has been on a couple power trails with me, one for 100 caches in New Mexico, another in Tucson for 201 (it took us 3 weeks to complete) and he has done about 200 ET Highway caches with me and attended the 11-11-11 event at the Little Al'lei'nn on the ET highway. Anyway, I enjoyed having Geo-Joe with me and wish him continued great travels. I will be watching.

Had to take an unexpected trip to Seattle when my son was admitted to the hospital for a collapsed lung last night. The travel bugs packed up and came along! Will dip and drop as time permits. Maybe I will get a chance to drop a few at Groundspeak!!

Out for an early morning FTF with Raven Art Studio in a desert wash. Started out passing three young coyotes, then a couple of bunnies and a jackrabbit. At GZ, a little gecko was guarding the cache container! We we left, Gambel's quail were scurrying about and we passed a male quail in the top of a tree quietly calling together his family as the sun rose. Nice.

PS Later after getting home I was working in the front yard pruning some bushes. Leaned way over one to get the branch on the far side, for some reason I look straight down and there is a young rattler, about 14-16" long right below me. I guess it isn't winter in Tucson anymore!! Mr. Rattlesnake is NOT my mascot!! ;)

Back to my side of town, today we headed up Redington Road to find a couple caches. Chester the dog and I, and Raven Art Studio, had a great time in beautiful caching weather. More birds and flowers and scenic views.
Remember, Chester the dog IS my mascot! ;)

Very cool. I picked this bug up at Green Valley Travel Bug Exchange today. It has seen a lot of miles AND the owner is still involved in geocaching! VERY nice! My geo-mascot, I would have to say, is my dog, Chester. He has been to hundreds of caches with me, 6 states just since January this year, several cito's, a geocaching flash mob on 11/11/11, and has his own trackable tag where I log all his adventures. He camps, he rides, he steals an occasional donut and it my best friend. I will try to get this bug out to some caches and hopefully get it moved to a great new cache or cacher. Thanks for sharing.
