About This Item

Side shot.jpg

This little model railroad coach used to have its own locomotive - a nice steam-engine called Cierny Pochabel ('Black Mad-cap')... but, as time went by, Cierny Pochabel stopped operating, due to its age. So the coach nicknamed itself The Railroad Hitchiker and set off to travel the world, looking for other locomotives.
It would like to travel primarily by railroad, of course. It would be happy to meet some friendly locomotive of according model size (I believe it's TT) and get a ride, just to try out different locomotives and different model railways... and then move on. (The dog tag is attached to the coach by a small spring-hook, so it can be removed for the ride and put back [!!!] afterwards.)
Stories and pictures related to railways and the TB's travels - pictures of the TB with locomotives of both model and real size (especially steam-engines), with trains, at interesting railway stations etc. - will be highly appreciated! Thanks.

[[CZ]] Tento vagonek mel kdysi svou vlastni lokomotivu, krasnou parni masinku prezdivanou Cierny Pochabel.
A pak zase dal do sveta... (Psi znamka tohoto travelbugu je pripevnena malou karabinkou, je tedy mozne, pokud mate modelovou zeleznici a nechate vagonek trosku projet, psi znamku lehce sundat. Pak ji ale nezapomente dat zpet !!!)
Jakekoliv prihody a hlavne obrazky z cest tohoto vagonku (treba obrazky vagonku s lokomotivami, at uz modelovymi ci skutecnymi.. zvlast pak parnimi, s vlaky vubec, obrazky vagonku na zajimavych nadrazich, u zajimavych zeleznicnich staveb atd. atd.), ktere pripojite k logu, udelaji tady u nas na vagonkove domacim nadrazi velkou radost! Diky!

To record the TB's travels in detail:
As I've learned from Enrice's e-mails, the TB made the 7km move from Sturmberg to Waxenegg via Iran!
Quote (kindly permitted):
"Few days after I retrieved the TB from Ruine Sturmberg I had to go for a business trip
to Iran. Your TB was with me all the time in Iran. But where ever I have been in Iran closer as 852 km to the next Cache was not
possible. You know there are only three Caches in Iran. So I brought the TB back to Austria this weekend."
"The exact route from Sturmberg to Waxenegg
was as follows. Sturmberg - Graz - Frankfurt - Tehran - Ahwaz - Kerman - Tehran - Frankfurt - Graz - Waxenegg.
You are right not the shortest way to Waxenegg."

Vagónek se presunul z jihoceské úzkokolejky k rakouské úzkokolejce Feistritztalbahn. Jel sice autem, ale verím, že jej nekdo vlakem zase sveze. Štastnou cestu.
