Eeyore got to find a temporay campsite just west of Mount Pit (this is what the Southwestern Oregonians call it- despite the fact that Northern Oregonians renamed it Mount Mc Glauglin in 1907) Early settlers called it by the local indian name- Snowy Butte. Eeyore is a bit fuzzy in the photograph- but Mount Pit looks sharp- and cold. 9495' feet elevation in the Southern Cascades of Oregon. -- Uncle Mad Dog

  • Eeyore west of Mt Pit , Oregon Eeyore (fuzzy in the photo) is posed west of Mt. Pit- an ancient volcano just 30 miles south of Crater Lake National Park ( Mount Mazama was the volcano that blew up and then collapsed to form Crater Lake)
