Years ago, rural communities had no electricity.  The New Deal program (created by President Franklin D Roosevelt back in the 1930's) formed the Rural Electrification Administration to help bring electricity to everyone at a fair price.  Local farmers and families joined together to form a cooperative to bring power to the people.  I'm releasing this travel bug on this day, 5-22-2014, in honor of my local area's 75th Electric Cooperative's Annual meeting.  Our cooperative was formed in 1939.
