Current GOAL

These fine figurines and their human counterparts were recently married in Nevada. After a fun night on the town everyone parted ways at the Las Vegas Wedding Cache.

Our delightful couple’s assignment is to travel around to caches in the southwestern United States for an extended honeymoon.

About This Item

Photo shows Dr Webe introducing herself to our lovely couple.

The Honeymooner figurine's names are Ronald and Lorene. Ronald is the president of www.outamyway.com, a really small company that specializes in engine modifications for Volkswagen Vanagons. Lorene owns a silk-screen sweatshop at an undisclosed location in Northern California that takes parts of plants and animals and turns them into really cool stuff.

Maybe the happy humans will catch up with the fine figurines for a grand reunion. In the mean-time we are hoping that people will photograph these guys at some of the fun places they will be visiting.

The Honeymooners and the companion Las Vegas Wedding Cache are a combined effort of the NCFlyers, Roadcow and Team Sagefox.

And a great reunion it is! For two years, four months and 17 days Dr. Webe and The Ski Bum have taken excellent care of our little honeymoon couple and showed them wonderful sites far and wide. 10089 miles have been logged to-date in 20 states but the actual mileage is even greater because gc.com logs crow miles between caches.

This has been a great adventure for the happy couple and we could not have asked for better care. When the NC Flyers schemed up this travel bug tribute to Ron and Lolli's wedding and Team Sagefox added it to The Las Vegas Wedding Cache I'm sure we were all silently hoping that no harm would come to it given the special circumstances for which it was created. Considering the muggle rate for travel bugs I accepted that there would come a day that this travel bug would go missing. But no need to have feared… along came the good doctor and the journey was made safe.

Today Team Sagefox takes temporary custody of our lovely pair. After a short time with us The Honeymooners will be handed off to Ron (known as Roadcow on gc.com pages) and Lolli.

Ron has a web site with lots of great travel stories at: www.blabberon.com.

Special thanks go to the NC Flyers - The Double J's of Fortuna for coming up with the travel bug idea and finding the perfect hitchhikers to attach. Special thanks to Dr. Webe for the safe and fantastic journey. And special thanks to Ron and Lolli for being great people and fun traveling companions.
